ICH HAB'S ... endlich (nicht, dass ich den ganzen Tag danach gesucht hätte ... trotzdem nervig, insbesondere das – von mir verhasste – „An Hilfslinien ausrichten“) ...
Ist ein bekanntes Problem, liegt an 10.4.x und tief im Adobe Support ist die Lösung versteckt (und es funktioniert tatsächlich nur, wenn man es GENAU SO macht wie beschrieben ... auch nervig):

Issue

Nothing happens when you choose Show Grids or Snap To Grid from the View menu in FreeHand MX 11.0.x on Mac OS X v10.4.x.

Reason

Macromedia FreeHand MX 11.0.x from Adobe was released before Mac OS X v10.4.x, so FreeHand MX wasn't developed for Mac OS X v10.4.x.

Solution

Change shortcut keys for Show Grid and Snap To Grid.

Close all open documents and then open a new blank document.
Choose Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts.
In the Commands list, click the triangle to expand the View > Grid category, and choose Grid.
Click in the Press New Shortcut Key text box, and then press the key or keys that make up the new shortcut sequence (for example, F6).
Repeat steps 3 and 4 choosing Snap To Grid from the View > Grid category and using a different shortcut sequence (for example, F7).
Assign the shortcut:
Select Go To Conflict On Assign to highlight in the Command list the command for a previously assigned keyboard shortcut.
Click Assign to assign the new shortcut to the specified command and to disable any previous assignment for the shortcut.
Click Close to confirm the new shortcut assignments.
Close FreeHand.
Note: When you add keyboard shortcuts to existing shortcuts, the default shortcuts appear in the View > Grid menu but cannot be selected. To use the new shortcuts, you must use the shortcut keys that you assigned.
