Titel Adobe Illustrator CS6 runs on macOS Monterey 12.7! |

Hello everyone,
I wanted to let you know that, contrary to all claims, Illustrator CS6 runs on Monterey!
You can't install it fresh, but you can migrate it from an installation of e.g. Mojave 10.14. Then you have to start it from within the package, i.e. right-click on the program and "Show package contents", then folder "Contents", "MacOS" and click on "Adobe Illustrator". All previously installed plug-ins such as Astute or RJ-Grafix also run without any problems.
There are two small differences: no rulers are displayed, and context menus after right-clicking are always in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen (not under the mouse pointer). You also have to click away an error message when starting. In my experience, other CS6 programs (Indesign, Photoshop, Audition, After Effects) do not work in this way; it only applies to Illustrator.
It is possible that this only works under Monterey, and that it does not work under 10.15 Catalina, 11 Big Sur or 13 Ventura, for example. But I have not tried any of these.
Please pass this information on to other forums. I'm hardly ever on forums or social media, so I don't have my own way of spreading this information, which I think is important. It is said everywhere that you unfortunately have to switch from the Creative Suite to the cloud subscription above 10.14. But in the case of Illustrator, this is not true, and it's not written anywhere (I've been looking for this information myself for 2 years).
Best regards
Guido
