Ich hab jetzt wirklich alles ausprobiert, google bis zur Erschöpfung durchforstet, selbst in diesem Forum Beiträge dazu gefunden, aber egal was ich mache, der Text im div="slogan" richtet sich stinknormal links aus. Wieso?

mal mehr als eine Zeile Text reingepackt?
Die letzte Zeile eines Absatzes läuft immer linksbündig aus.

Hast du online nen Beispiel? Dann kann man dir sagen, ob das Problem wirklich am CSS liegt oder nur aufgrund des wenigen Texts besteht.
Jedenfalls kann ein Browser einfach sowieso keinen sinnvollen Blocksatz (leider), also solltest du ihn wenn möglich auch vermeiden, wenns schön lesbar bleiben soll (jedenfalls bei Fließtexten).

ich hab seinen quelltext 1:1 kopiert und den text via c&p aufgefüllt - im FF3 stellt es sich richtig dar.

Haha...ich glaub's nicht. Es liegt tatsächlich daran das die Zeilen zu Kurz sind.
